Who doesn’t enjoy long luscious locks of healthy hair on their heads without having to wait months on end for them to grow?  Amongst many, a popular question is, how to grow hair faster?

Well here are some standard ways to go about that, the hair won’t grow inches long overnight but you will see good results in a few weeks.

1) Natural Growth

Like other parts of our body, hair health can be influenced in both positive and negative ways depending on what we do with them. Some people are genetically gifted to have faster hair growth, an estimate of having twice or thrice the average growth rate which is (0.44 mm/0.02 inches) per day. So far no safe method has been discovered to alter the genetic effect.

2) Hair Care Routine

We can’t change the DNA (deoxyribosenucliec acid) , BUT we can change what we do to our hair from the outside. For centuries man has used various methods to change, fix and reshape the hair texture and now we have a refined list of Do’s for hair care.

So let’s begin…

DO

Get frequent trims :- This won’t make your hair sprout like wild weed but the elimination of split ends and broken hair gives a neat tidy appearance and makes room for hair to grow properly from the root. Split ends break and makes you lose hair length (because you’d have to get them cut) so it’s best to maintain in order to keep.

Resist the urge to go blonde :- YEESSSSS girl….also dudes, you may want to rethink the idea of going blond or dying your hair with some exotic color because its “cool” and “all your friends are doing it”. Dying your hair exposes it to chemicals that are bad for your hair, doesn’t matter you do it on the tips or lower ends, eventually those tips and lower ends will deform and start looking bad, eventually provoking you to chop them off, leaving you back to square one…..SHORT HAIR.

Distribute your hair’s natural oil :-  Before going to bed at night use a brush to gently stroke all your hair in different directions, this will allow for the Sebum (natural skin oil) to spread evenly throughout your hair, this will keep them moisturized naturally an keep them from falling out earlier than usual.

Keep your scalp healthy :- Hair grows from inside the scalp, so obviously that’s where you begin, having a clean scalp also promotes hair growth. Dirt, oil, dust and dead skin blocks the pores of our scalp that causes problems for hair follicles, taking regular baths and properly washing your hair (once after 2 days is recommended) in order to prevent such things form happening.

Eating the right foods :- Having long, strong hair doesn’t just depend on which products you put on your hair; it also depend on what you put into your body. “To promote hair growth, you need to ‘feed’ the hair from the inside,” explains Dr. Francesco Fusco, dermatologist and CLEAR scalp and hair expert. “Try increasing your protein intake with foods like fish, beans, nuts and whole gains.” If you’re not a meat-lover, maintain a diet high in protein. Dr. Fusco warns that women who don’t get enough of it often experience “more shedding.”

Add vitamin to your hair :-  If your diet isn’t supplying you with enough nutrition, a supplement could make a world of difference. “Look for a multivitamin that’s formulated and labeled ‘For Hair, Skin and Nails,'” advises Dr. Fusco. “Those contain important vitamins like biotin, vitamin C and B vitamins that support hair health.”

To Grow Hair Fast Naturally

Eat plenty of protein. Hair is composed of a protein called Keratin, making it the most important component of a hair-healthy diet.

Eat biotin. This is vitamin B, which is essential for hair growth.

Consume Vitamin A and C.

Eat Omega 3 fatty acids.

*(ALL to be taken in a controlled ammount)

Stay HYDRATED!!! (6-8 glasses per day is recommended) When your body is dehydrated, it shows in your hair, they appear dry, dull, and lifeless. Which eventually makes them prone to breakage.
